For Marketing Agency Owners Only

An operator's playbook. An operator in the seat.

I built and sold two agencies. Three companies, four Inc. 5000s, two fastest-growing recognitions in Cincinnati. PowderKeg is how I work with agency owners now.

Two services, two price points, one operator. The Community is for owners who want the playbook on demand. Operator in Residence is for owners with something already on fire. Pick the one that fits where you are right now.

Two Services

One operator. Two ways to work together.

Both run on the same operating principles, the same scar tissue, the same pattern recognition. The difference is engagement depth. Where are you right now?

Embedded · Hands-On

Operator in Residence

For agency owners between $500K and $5M with an active fire that needs to be put out.

I sit inside your agency as your senior operator, rolling up my sleeves and doing the work. Not a consultant with a deck. Not a coach on a Zoom. 90-day sprint on the priority fire. Company email. In your Slack. On your org chart.

  • Free 'Zero Day' diagnostic of your agency
  • Embedded like a team member with decision authority
  • 90-day sprint on your priority fire
  • Direct line to me, not a project manager
  • Clear exit ramp: hand off, retainer, or next fire
An operator in the seat. 90 days. One fire at a time.

Which One Is For You?

Not sure which path? Here's the test.

If you've ever talked to me, you know I won't sell you something you don't need. Here's the honest difference between the two.

If You're Building

Join the Community.

You want pattern recognition before the mistakes happen.

You're trying to avoid the expensive errors I already made, and you want a direct line to ask when something comes up. You don't need someone in the seat, you need someone on speed dial.

You're not in crisis. You're building.

If You're Triaging

Book the Diagnostic.

Something is already on fire and you need it out.

Sales is broken. Margins are leaking. The team isn't actually leading. You don't need a Slack channel, you need an operator in the seat making the calls.

You're not browsing. You're triaging.

The Probability Problem

Success is a numbers game.
I'm here to change your numbers.

Every decision you make as an agency owner either increases or decreases your probability of success. The problem is, you're making hundreds of these decisions with no pattern recognition, no operator experience, and no one who's already made (and survived) the expensive mistakes.

That's what PowderKeg changes. Whether you join the Community or bring me in as Operator in Residence, you're getting the same operator with the same scar tissue. The only question is engagement depth.

This isn't a course you watch and forget. This isn't a Slack channel with a thousand strangers. This is an operating system run by someone who's done it, built specifically to increase the probability that you'll do it too.

50%
of agencies fail in the first five years. Most of those failures are predictable and preventable if someone tells you what's coming before it hits.
82%
of agency owners say their biggest challenge is new business development. Not because they're bad at it. Because no one taught them a system.
3x
the output, same team size. That's what happens when an agency implements AI correctly instead of just talking about it.
Who's Behind This

I didn't read about running an agency. I did it. Twice.

I've made every mistake an agency owner can make. I've also figured out how to fix every single one of them. PowderKeg exists so you don't have to learn the expensive way.

I'm Zach Strauss. I've built and sold two marketing agencies and three companies total. Started as an individual contributor, earned Rep of the Year, and worked my way to the CEO seat. Started my first agency with a laptop in a 700 square foot apartment and scaled it to 25+ full time US-based employees before exiting.

I've been the owner who was the entire sales team, the owner who hired the wrong people, the owner who figured out how to build systems that scaled, and the owner who sold on the other side. My companies have been recognized on the Inc. 5000 four times and named the fastest growing company in our category twice.

I'm not a coach. I'm not a detached consultant. I'm the operator you call when you need someone who's already made the mistake you're about to make. You get me. Directly.

You won't find me flaunting a rented Lambo in Miami. I have 4 kids under 4, a house in the suburbs, and a constant need for a good cup of coffee. I just happen to know how to build high performing companies extremely well.

Just one cold outreach tactic Zach recommended generated $60K in ARR for my agency. Best money I've ever spent.

The Cost of Waiting

Stop figuring it out alone.

You don't need another course. You don't need another Slack group full of strangers. You need direct access to someone who's already built, scaled, and sold the thing you're trying to build. Pick your door.
